Grief, crisis and major life changes can affect us deeply – emotionally, physically and energetically. You may notice changes in sleep, appetite, mood, concentration, digestion, energy or your ability to feel settled. Sometimes grief follows a bereavement. At other times, it can come with separation, illness, caring responsibilities, family change, work stress, menopause, retirement, burnout or another significant life transition.
At Beth Weightman Acupuncture, I offer gentle, traditional Five Element acupuncture from a peaceful clinic in North Wootton, near Wells, Somerset. I have a particular interest in supporting people through stressful life transitions, grief, emotional shock, crisis and times of deep change.
Book a free 15-minute consultation to talk through what you are experiencing and whether acupuncture may be suitable for you.
During difficult life chapters, it can be hard to feel grounded, rested or connected to yourself. Acupuncture can offer a calm, supportive space to pause, breathe and receive care at a time when much of life may feel uncertain or overwhelming.
Five Element acupuncture looks at the person as a whole. Rather than separating emotional experiences from the body, treatment considers how grief, stress or life change may be affecting your sleep, energy, digestion, tension, mood and overall wellbeing.
Many people seek acupuncture during times of change because they want a steady, gentle form of support. Sessions can offer time to slow down, feel listened to and reconnect with your own sense of balance.
You do not need to explain everything perfectly. Treatment is shaped around what feels appropriate and supportive for you.
You may be considering acupuncture if you are experiencing:
Grief or bereavement
A major life transition
Emotional shock or crisis
Separation or relationship change
Family stress
Caring responsibilities
Work stress or burnout
Loss of direction or identity
Poor sleep during emotional stress
Low energy or exhaustion
Tension in the body
Digestive changes linked with stress
Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally fragile
A sense of carrying too much for too long
At the first appointment, we will talk gently about what has brought you to acupuncture, as well as your health, sleep, energy and emotional wellbeing. Treatment is guided by what feels right for you and can be adapted as your needs change.
If grief, crisis or a major life transition is affecting how you feel, please feel free to contact me. Whether you are navigating bereavement, family change, emotional stress, burnout or a difficult period that is hard to name, we can talk through whether acupuncture may be a helpful support.
