Anxiety and low mood can be exhausting. It may affect your sleep, energy, concentration, digestion, confidence and relationships, often making everyday life feel heavier or harder to manage. Sometimes these feelings arise during a stressful period, and sometimes they seem to have been present for much longer.
At Beth Weightman Acupuncture, I offer gentle, traditional Five Element acupuncture from a peaceful clinic in North Wootton, near Wells, Somerset, supporting people who experience anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, stress, poor sleep, tension and burnout.
Book a free 15-minute consultation to talk through what you are experiencing and whether acupuncture may be suitable for you.
Acupuncture may appeal to people who want support for their emotional wellbeing in a calm, steady and body-based way. In Five Element acupuncture, anxiety and low mood are considered in relation to the whole person, including sleep, energy, stress, digestion, hormones, life events and general health.
Many people come for acupuncture when they feel overwhelmed, depleted, tense, disconnected from themselves or unable to properly rest. Treatment offers time and space to slow down, be listened to, and receive care that is tailored to your individual situation.
Acupuncture can often sit alongside counselling, medication, GP care or other forms of support.
You may be considering acupuncture if you experience:
Anxiety or anxious thoughts
Low mood
Emotional overwhelm
Stress or burnout
Difficulty switching off
Poor sleep
Tension in the body
Digestive changes during stressful periods

Your first appointment gives us time to understand what has been happening for you, including your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, sleep, energy and emotional wellbeing. Treatment is then shaped around your individual needs and pace.

I practise from a calm, peaceful clinic in North Wootton, near Wells in Somerset. Appointments are gentle, individual and supportive, with attention to both emotional wellbeing and physical health.
A free 15-minute phone consultation is available before booking. This gives you the chance to ask questions, explain what you are experiencing and decide whether acupuncture feels like the right next step.
You do not need to have a formal diagnosis before getting in touch. If your symptoms feel severe or unmanageable, or you are experiencing thoughts of harming yourself, please seek urgent support from your GP, NHS 111, a mental health crisis service or emergency services. If you are already receiving medical care, counselling or taking medication, acupuncture can often be used alongside your existing support.

Acupuncture can often be used alongside GP care, counselling, medication or other forms of support. However, it should not replace urgent medical or mental health care if you need immediate help.
If you feel at risk of harming yourself, feel unable to cope, or need urgent emotional support, please seek help straight away.
